Makeup application → Desiree Noir (joining us in person)

Desiree is a Eugene based makeup artist and hair stylist. Desiree has been cutting hair in a barbershop for 3 years. She was a makeup artist before that. Desiree went to school for fashion in Indiana and there’s nothing she loves more than a makeover. Her favorite part of her job is getting to genuinely connect and trying to make her clients’ hair dreams a reality. Desiree has been doing makeup on all ages, races, and genders for years and is very excited to be part of this workshop.


Lashes → Alexis Blevins (joining us on Zoom)

Alexis is a licensed and certified lash artist located in Portland, Oregon. Alexis currently has her own space in Take It Off, Tattoo Removal and Spa in Northeast Portland. She has been a lash technician for 1.5 years.


Voice Training → Anna Freya (joining us on Zoom)

Anna Freya owns Transvocal Training LLC and started providing transgender voice training in 2013. While studying voice in college to become a professional singer and voice coach, she found herself naturally working with transgender individuals who were looking to change their voice. Anna has always been passionate about working with the trans/gender diverse community, especially after experiencing dysphoria around her own voice when she came out in 2018.

Anna has spoken at many non-profit organizations, universities, transgender health conferences, and at the National Association for the Teachers of Singing (regional and national levels). Anna also has degrees in Voice Performance and Public Health, and has performed in operas, musicals, and choirs as a tenor, baritone, and mezzo soprano. She is an amazing teacher and resource for individuals who are looking for voice feminization, masculinization, or androgyny.

Hair Care and Styling → Ashley Newport (joining us in person)

Ashley (she/her) also known as Hair Witch, has been practicing hair since 2014 and is committed to being a safe space for every individual to find styles that reflect their individuality and expression. She is best known for her short and asymmetric styles, award-winning beard work and abstract/geometric designs, but enjoys cutting hair of all lengths and styles. Ashley has completed many hours of continuing education over the years, including classes/workshops with: Hair Artists In Pursuit of Inclusion (Black Hair Matters Series 1), Ira Pope Sage, MENSPIRE UK, Farzad Selehi, Sassoon Academy, and so many more.

Ashley started a no-cost gender affirming haircut pop up for the Eugene area called Safe Space Camp that had its debut at the 2022 Eugene Pride event! In 2023 Safe Space Camp intends to host quarterly pop ups for the Eugene area in an effort to help individuals in our community in need of gender affirming haircuts as well as highlight amazing local hair spaces offering inclusive and comfortable experiences for our queer/LGBTQIA+ community members.

Resume Building and Interview Etiquette → Corinne Milne (joining us on Zoom)

Corinne is a transgender woman living in New York City, New York. Corine taught at Kokua Education for 2 years, and was also a Graduate Student Assistant at the New School for Social Research. Corinne is an advocate for Transgender rights and is heavily involved in a non-profit organization known as Exalt, which provides supported internships for youth to pursue their education and employment goals. Exalt hopes to transform the lives of youth along the spectrum of criminal justice involvement by equipping them with the skills and experience necessary to become self-sufficient, self-fulfilled, productive members of society. Corinne has been a lead teacher at Exalt for approximately 2 years now.
