As we approach International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, save the date for Queer Community Day, hosted by HIV Alliance and TransPonder at our Queer Resource Center (1185 Arthur St.) on Saturday, May 20 from 12-4p.

To foster community, connection, and creativity, we’ll have art projects, snacks, tabling from community partners, a raffle, community discussion/focus groups on accessing gender-affirming care, and free STI testing.

There will be gift card incentives for the STI testing, and folks who participate in testing, an art project, and/or a community discussion group can enter the raffle.

Stay tuned for details!

Community Discussion Groups

@ 1:30p we’ll hold a discussion group on access to gender-affirming care. Open to everyone, all ages. We’ll be asking several questions, including questions such as:

  • What are your experiences in accessing gender-affirming care and/or helping loved ones access gender-affirming care?
  • What can our community organizations do to make accessing gender-affirming care easier/better/safer?

Each participant will get a ticket to enter our raffle. Light refreshments available.
